The Vireo Development Team concluded active development of Vireo 1.8, a new version the Vireo Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Management System, and began deployment and testing of staging instances of the software for TDL members.

TDL Program Coordinator Ryan Steans represented the Texas Digital Library at the US ETD Association Conference, held in Boston June 13-15. The conference welcomed professionals from graduate schools, libraries, and other academic units working with electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs).
The theme of the conference was “USETDA 2012: A revolution in scholarship – A commonwealth of knowledge.”

TDLThe 2012 Texas Conference on Digital Libraries brought together nearly 150 librarians, software developers, faculty researchers, and others interested in the future of libraries and scholarly communication for two days of presentations, posters, workshops, and informal networking opportunities. The conference was held May 24-25 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin.
